WORLD-OF-SCREENS Digital Signage System at the Commercial Bank Quatar. An impressive roll-out.

Our partner in Dubai installed 40 of our large displays measuring 165 centimeters. The broadcasting schedule is managed by our DS-Gate Digital Signage Software which is set up remotely on the bank server. Remarkably, this is the setup for one individual branch. After a very successful testing phase, rollout to 124 more branches has begun.

Our products are used on a daily basis where current content is displayed on WORLD-OF-SCREENS hardware and delivered through the DS-Gate Digital Signage Software by WORLD-OF-SCREENS. A successful solution delivering real advantages every single day.

IDI Signage Inc. Taipei and WORLD-OF-SCREENS GmbH Herford/Germany together on Computex 2008

Exactly one year ago, in May 2007, IDI Signage Inc. WORLD-OF-SCREENS GmbH concluded a close cooperation contract for the Digital Signage field. Their collaboration as proved so effective and satisfying that they decided to present the two companies on a booth together on Computex Taipei 2008.

WORLD-OF-SCREENS was founded in 2004 on the basic idea that technological changes in the advertising industry and the need for a tailor-made embedded system would soon be in demand. All solutions that were in the market then were either stand-alone or PC based.

Together with an Asian development company, the idea for WORLD-OF-SCREENS Media Displays was framed and the design defined. The product was developed strictly according to German quality standards and engineering know-how over a period of more than two years with an investment of 1.5 million USD. At the same time a specific Content Management Tool as well as a Back-Office Tool to facilitate business with license and OEM customers was designed to complete the system.

Since February 2007, several reference projects, in total an installed base of over 7000 systems have proved functionality and trouble-free operation of WORLD-OF-SCREENS Digital Signage Systems. The system is scalable and can be adapted to any language.

The conclusion that PC based systems will not meet the demands in the long run have been confirmed. Simplicity, stability, energy-efficiency and security are key issues in the Digital Signage industry and WORLD-OF-SCREENS technology has proved to be well positioned in all respects. Well-known manufacturers already show great interest in WORLD-OF-SCREENS technology.

A year ago, WORLD-OF-SCREENS and IDI Signage, also well-known in the Digital Signage industry, decided to combine their skills and established a synergy for both companies to use each other’s technologies under a license scheme. Since then, IDI Signage also produce WORLD-OF-SCREENS own line for the German company. This close cooperation combining German know-how and Taiwanese productivity and efficiency and well as consolidating buying power has proved very successful in 2007.

On Computex 2008, IDI will present their systems and business models together on one booth.

WORLD-OF-SCREENS is looking for more license partners in other countries as well as worldwide distributors for the system which is still unique in the industry. With Digital Signage Networks growing, PC based systems face serious service and maintenance problems creating friction with customers and not calculated extra costs.

License customers will be provided with all necessary information and technology by WORLD-OF-SCREENS to manufacture the systems and distribute them.

OEM customers buy the systems in big quantities at very reduced prices directly from IDI Signage Inc and distribute them under their own logo. In many cases this might be more cost-effective than setting up an own production.

Both business models will be fully supported in terms of staff training and providing all necessary tools to set up a prosperous business.
